Jump, jive, and swing your way back in time with our annual 1940s Day! Be sure to have your hair pin curled, your dancing shoes shined, and drive up in your Packard for a day full of fun on August 11, 2018!
One of our most popular events is growing and will once again be at Cincinnati’s #LunkenAirport
for an all-day affair of dancing, fashion, cars, planes and interactive fun for all ages.
1940s Day will take place rain or shine, though certain activities(**) will be weather permitting. Here's what you can expect:
🎫Tickets: available mid-June
CMC Members: Free
Non member Adult (13 and up): $10
Non member Child (12 and under): $5
— Calling all 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s vintage vehicle owners! We are looking for vintage cars, motorcycles and airplanes to take part in our showcase**! There is no entry fee and no judging- just an opportunity to show off your wheels and wings! Those interested must contact Emily at [email protected]
by August 8 to register before flying into the airport or bringing your vintage wheels.

If you are feeling dapper enter our annual costume contest! Anyone who wants to show off their vintage threads are welcome to take part in a fashion parade.
— Contestants will then be selected to participate in a second round of judging.
— Winners can take home some remarkable prizes! Winners are also invited to take part in our Vintage Beauties workshop taking place immediately after our contest.

💪Rosie the Riveter Tribute:
Calling all Rosie the Riveters! Naomi Parker Fraley, the inspiration for the real life Rosie the Riveter, recently passed away at the age of 96, and to honor her memory we WANT YOU to gather around the B-25 Bomber for a group photo in your Rosie the Riveter costume!
— This photograph will act as a small way to commemorate the thousands of servicewomen and their dedication to the cause.

— 1940s Day will take place rain or shine, though certain activities(**) will be weather permitting. The majority of the event is outdoors so wear sunscreen and hydrate- water stations will be available.
